ABOUT: Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, supported by donations from Dolly Parton and regional community partners in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the Republic of Ireland, aims to encourage a love of reading by giving away books for free to children from birth to age five.
Dolly began her Imagination Library in 1995 for the kids in her home county, motivated by her father’s inability to read and write. Currently, her programme is active in five nations and provides more than 2 million youngsters with free books each month.
